Meet the Leadership Team

The principals at Metroplex General Contractors all have impressive backgrounds and skills; however, what really sets this leadership team apart is their passion for what they do every day. From the top down at Metroplex GC, there’s a powerful drive for excellence, with one overriding goal … to please clients.

Tony Vincent

Founding Partner & President

“Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.”

As president and founding partner of Metroplex General Contractors, Tony is invested in the quality of every job and the satisfaction of every client. Tony excels not only in cultivating relationships and securing new opportunities for the business, but also in working closely with landlords, architects, tenants and brokers throughout the entire construction process to ensure jobs are done right and clients’ experience is extraordinary.

Tony began his career in the commercial real estate industry. As a broker representing tenants, he learned the roles and politics of the real estate industry, plus many valuable lessons about project execution. Prior to founding Metroplex, Tony was a principal of another Dallas/Ft. Worth general contracting firm. His experience there drove home the value of consistency and quality in general contracting.

Born and raised in Alaska, Tony loves the outdoors. During his free time, you can find him fishing, horseback riding and playing golf. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. Tony is actively involved with a variety of civic organizations, including The Rise School of Dallas, St. Timothy Christian Academy and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Jon Barnett

Principal, Project Manager/Estimator

“I firmly believe that successful projects result from successful teamwork.”

Jon brings a true “the buck stops here” level of accountability to all of the projects he touches. With the belief that successful projects result from successful teamwork, Jon fosters a spirit of collaboration, communication and trust among everyone on the team – from project managers to subcontractors.

A 27-year veteran of the interior construction industry, Jon spent his first 10 years as a field superintendent, becoming well versed in subcontractor coordination, scheduling, constructability problem solving and quality control. Thanks to this experience and his analytical mind, Jon is able to sift through the details of a job to identify potential obstacles and create efficiencies in the process. He has leveraged these invaluable skills in developing and implementing estimating and project management systems, policies and procedures for two other general contractors and now for Metroplex.

In his free time, Jon enjoys music and spending time with his son. He also loves traveling, sports and outdoor activities—particularly snow skiing.

Dean Vincent

Principal, Project Manager/Estimator

“Problems arise, but what sets you apart in this industry is how you handle the problem for your client and team.”

As a former teacher, Dean Vincent has no problem seeing both the big picture and the details. That diverse perspective, along with his years of in-field superintendent experience, helps him efficiently and successfully guide clients’ projects through to completion.

Despite his impressive skills and credentials, Dean’s greatest source of pride is his proven ability to satisfy clients. Whether he’s working to understand a client’s specific needs or resolve an issue in a mutually acceptable way, Dean is always focused on making the construction process easier and the end result better for his clients. But he’s also quick to credit his hard-working superintendents and exceptional team of subcontractors for their integral role in this process.

Dean is married with two children. Born and raised in Alaska, this outdoorsman makes frequent trips back home to visit family, as well as to hunt and fish. One of the ways Dean gives back to the North Texas community and beyond is through Kids Matter, a local nonprofit that helps children in need with clothes, food, school supplies and educational programs.
